Altiverb v512/31/2023 ![]() ![]() Audio Ease has sampled the big room, the drum room and the control room. Which used to be Island Studio BASING street. Since we are music guys and not FOLEY artists, I would like to focus on the studio and stage IRs that they have sampled.Īn example is SARM WEST. These spaces are from around the world and include a ton of categories. The difference maker for me is the extensive library of IRs that you get with the product. So, there are a ton of IR software out there. Very important, if you want to keep different verbs tweakable during the mixing process. I just had to add this: compared to other reverb plug-ins I have used - some of them mentioned in this thread - it's less CPU hungry. You have modulation options, shelf/ bell EQ, tempo-based pre-delay/ temp-based gate blah blah blah The browser is just great! You'll find the preset you are looking for in a minute. I have both, and I have to say, I don't use the LX480 anymore since I got Altiverb 7. I know, I know! Altiverb is not coming even close to the gear-emulating plug-ins, you might say now, like LX480 etc. ![]() It's very handy, gives you room sims, ambiences, lush reverbs, gated-option, classic reverb gear IRs. Sure, you can get convo-verbs for a much lower price with insane quality, but Altiverb combines everything you need for your reverb arsenal in one plug-in. I got a demo license and a download link and enough time to fall in love with it! Write an email to the support, and tell them that you are looking for the best reverb, but need to demo Altiverb to test user experience, cpu performance and stuff before you invest 500$! You can get a trial version from Audioease. Thanks in advanced for any thought on the matter. In my situation, would $500 for Altiverb 7 be worth it if I'm looking for the best large and lush software reverb available? If you don't think so, what in your opinion would come close? If I can be convinced on spending the money for Altiverb 7, I have no problem making the investment, but I sure wish they had a demo.and considering that it is on iLOK, I am surprised that there isn't a demo. I compose New Age and absolutely LOVE lush big reverbs on the various human-performed string instruments and choirs that I usually feature in my work, so I'm always on the lookout for great reverbs. I got to try an older version out 4 or 5 years ago and remember being very impressed, but once version 7 came out and was only available for Mac initially (I use a PC) I forgot all about it until recently when watching Daniel James' Altiverb 7 video. I already own many great software reverbs such as Spaces, B2, Phoenix, and Lexicon, to name a few, but now have Altiverb on my mind. I have been contemplating Altiverb 7 for some time, but since it is on the higher spectrum of software reverb prices, I am struggling to make a decision if it is worth the investment.
